Whether you're a teenager or a young woman, being young and trans is a wholly different experience than being middle-aged and trans. There are different choices to make, different challenges. Many of us are going to live the vast majority of our lives as women. Most of us are going to become passable women someday, and we are going to face building lives as young women, many of us largely invisible to the outside world as having ever BEEN transgendered. It's a different world for us youngsters... and it's nice to have the help of friends who are our age, and who are going through the same things that we are.

Here's some friends just for you.

~Love to you all,
Becca, Maintainer.

 Hi there, everyone.

My name's Nora (or at least I want it to be), and I'm 18, geeky, and a fairly newly-realised transgirl. I've more or less passively wanted to be a girl all my life, ever since I was a little kid, but it's only been recently that I've really... accepted it, y'know? My original persona when I was little was pretty girly, but I covered it all up with the "Guy" I am now. I don't like that though.

I'm too sleepy to type more, but... if ya feel like it, check out my main journal, it gives the full rundown and story of me. Feel free to talk to me, friend me, swap stories and such, etc, etc, etc!
Good night, dearies!

~Nora

Hello Ladies,

Wow it's been a long time since I've been on lj. Anyways, I am a transwoman filmmaker who's films have screened from Australia to London, New York and LA. I want to do a series of short pieces on some of the unique issues that transwomen face in dating. I am looking for your best, worst, funniest, scariest etc, dating experiences. Can be with men or women, or any gender in between. My plan is to turn those stories into short clips, that will explain what's either good or bad about them to help educate those who wish to date women like ourselves.

To submit your stories please contact me at: info@tallladypictures.com

Thanks,
Ashley Altadonna

I want to meet others like me who are starting out as well. Seems to always help im not going into something alone heh.
Also if there are any other people in New Mexico area (more specifically Albuquerque area) hit me up i'd love to meet others nearby and learn more about experiences. I'm also new to blogging so sorry if I seem like im everywhere with thought and what not.

I was wondering what other young transsexual women feel about those MtF transsexuals who refer to themselves as "classic/true" transsexuals (usually also those who claim HBS, or Harry Benjamin Syndrome) or the "TS-only movement." They can't stand the "transgender umbrella," which I can sympathize with, and that the only reasons for a transsexual to remain a non-op is either financial or health (something I disagree with). It seems to me that there is a lot of elitism and mean-spiritedness among these people, I don't recall ever seeing any young transwomen who align themselves among them. Is this mostly older transsexuals?

Hi all :) I do hope I still qualify for this board. Am 26 now.

I thought I'd be over things once I got SRS, and I actually got away from the trans community for an extended period of time? But lately, for the past half a year I've been looking up trans-related stuff again online. Its quite a disturbing feeling that I've yet to actually separate myself from trans related issues.

Nov. 19th, 2008 @ 11:32 am jesus was a transsexual woman?
About this Entry
[info]tgwoman:
Answer at bottom:

There were 3 good arguments that Jesus was Black:

1. He called everyone brother
2. He liked Gospel
3. He didn't get a fair trial

But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was Jewish:

1. He went into His Father's business
2. He lived at home until he was 33
3. He was sure his Mother was a virgin and his Mother was sure He was God

But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was Italian:

1. He talked with His hands
2. He had wine with His meals
3. He used olive oil

But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was a
Californian :

1. He never cut His hair
2. He walked around barefoot all the time
3. He started a new religion

But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was an
American Indian :

1. He was at peace with nature
2. He ate a lot of fish
3. He talked about the Great Spirit

But then there were 3 equally good arguments that Jesus was Irish:

1. He never got married.
2. He was always telling stories.
3. He loved green pastures.

But the most compelling evidence of all - 3 proofs that Jesus was a woman:

1. He fed a crowd at a moment's notice when there was virtually no food.
2. He kept trying to get a message across to a bunch of men who just
didn't get it
3. And even when He was dead, He had to get up because there was still
work to do.
